I am writing this letter to let people know that Dr.Chan has helped my husband's stroke.

Two years ago my husband had a stroke, he was 61 years old, he signed his retirement papers on April 10th, he wake up at 4 a.m. unable to talk or move his right side of the body.

He was in the hospital for five days, he was unable to swallow food and was going to have a feeding tube in his stomach on the 3rd day he was able to swallow apple sauce. The tube was not needed.

He spent 6 weeks in a rehabilitation hospital in Laurel Maryland, he had six hours per day for physical occupation and speech therapy. Six weeks of therapy at home and other six weeks of out patient.

After two years of not getting any signals from the brain to the arm of leg, we decided on acupuncture. We consulted with Dr.Chan in the office of Acupuncture Clinic of Maryland, at 11125 Rockville Pike, Rockville Maryland 20852. After five days, he was able to raise his arm. One month later, he raised his leg and kicked out. It has been two months now and not only can he move his arm but can squeeze my hand and has a very strong grip. We waited two years to get signals from the brain and now he can rise his arm and leg. He can walk a short distance without his cane, has control of his bladder. Every one who sees him, says how much better he looks, I saw this after a week of acupuncture, his speech has also improved.

I have known Dr. Chan for more than twenty years. My friend suggested to use acupuncture for my chronic pain in my back, shoulders, knees, and hips. I have been suffering of hereditary arthritis since I was thirty years old. Conventional medication almost destroyed my stomach. After the first treatment of acupuncture I felt considerable relief.

Dr. Chan also treated my severe migraines, the result of a head injury in a car accident.

Equally successfully.

This year was particularly difficult for me. I developed rashes in large areas of my skin due to food and medication allergies. My dermatologist treated me with prednisone. This treatment caused fifteen pounds weight gain, fatigue, undermining the entire immune system, and further spread of rashes. Extreme itching made me leave my work place on several occasions.

Once again Dr. Chan's treatment stopped my suffering.

I will remain eternally grateful to Dr. Chan for his genuine compassion and the utmost professionalism.
